The Education Liberator, Vol. 2, No. 7, August/September 1996
News Flash!
Famous theologians come aboard
Two theologians of considerable significance have just joined us by endorsing the separation of school and state.
One of them is Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J., Catholic author, scholar, catechist, and spiritual godfather to the Catholic home schooling movement. The other is the Rev. R. J. Rushdoony, Protestant author, scholar, and a leader of "Theonomist" (aka "Reconstructionist") Calvinist thought.
Both men are in their 80s, and are revered in their respective circles. Marshall Fritz visited with both.
The Alliance welcomes the support and participation of people of all religious persuasions ? or of none. Nevertheless, recruiting religious leaders is especially critical at this time, because of the influence they wield. (While not a news flash, we remain delighted that Rabbi Daniel Lapin of Toward Tradition signed the Proclamation many months ago.)
If you have a favorite theologian or medium-to-high profile religious leader who you think should be hearing the Separation message, please take these two steps:
- Send Marshall Fritz the person's name and your reasons for thinking that he/she might become one of the innovators or early adopters of Separation. Please include your and his address.
- You will be sent an information kit for you to send on to your religious leader with a cover letter from you. Please copy Marshall on that letter, asking him to send them additional material as it becomes available. (A contribution of $10 will cover the Alliance's costs of the extensive info kit.)
