Freedom from politics produces a huge variety of quality products at affordable prices. Nothing can match it. This is just as true for education as it is for clothing, cars, and computers. By separating school and state, Americans can again have "Honest Education."

1. Safety for Your Children
   Independent schools are virtually free of the violence that plagues government schools.
   
   
2. Consistency for Your Children
   Independent schools support your values, rather than undermining them.
   
   
3. You Prevail, not Politics
   You, not politicians, decide what your children are taught.
   
   
4. The Poor Receive Excellent Education
   From Marva Collins to local churches, Independent schools can provide superior education for the poor at affordable prices. With the removal of government schooling from our society, private scholarships will help the truly needy attend better schools than today.
   
   
5. Racial and Religious Peace
   By respecting freedom of association, Independent schools are virtually free of racial and religious conflict.
   
   
6. Innovation and Choice
   Instead of "one-size-fits all," educational freedom means innovation and choice in education ? from home schooling to church schools, from high-tech academies to fine-arts schools, from expensive prep schools to store-front academies, plus dozens more: Montessori, Core Knowledge, Trivium, vocational, work-study, apprenticeships, Sudbury, etc.
   
   
7. Your Taxes Will Be Slashed
   About half of state taxes go for government schools. Honest Education means these taxes will plummet. The total tax cut can be over $300-billion per year.
   
   
8. Smaller, Responsive Schools
   With educational freedom, you and your child will no longer feel like a number or a commodity. Most Independent schools are already much smaller than government schools, and when not competing with them, most will have fewer than 250 students. While unlikely, if parents want huge schools, the market will provide them, too.
   
   
9. Lots of Schools Near Your Home
   With educational freedom, you will have a choice of many more schools ? many within walking distance of your home.
   
   
10. Individualized Attention
    By using students as teachers' aides, some Independent schools will have one instructor for each 3-5 students, giving children the individual attention they need.
